Terms of Service

The MySousChef web application ("Service") is operated by:

By accessing or using MySousChef at mysouschef.hu or mysouschef.eu, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Hungarian and EU laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a binding contract between you and BZR Szoftverfejlesztő Kft. under the Hungarian Civil Code (Ptk.) and applicable EU regulations.

MySousChef is a recipe management and meal planning application that allows users to:

• Import and save recipes from URLs or photos
• Plan weekly meals and generate shopping lists
• Browse and contribute to a public recipe library
• Use step-by-step cook mode
• Synchronise meal plans with Google Calendar

The Service is available on the web. Mobile applications are planned and will be subject to these Terms when released.

To use the Service you must create an account using a valid email address or a Google account. You must be at least 16 years of age, in accordance with GDPR Article 8 and its Hungarian implementation.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to update it as necessary.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where false or misleading information has been provided.

The Service is offered on three tiers:

Prices are stated in EUR and may include Hungarian VAT (27%) where applicable. Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled.

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Hungarian consumer protection law (CLV of 1997), you have the right to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 calendar days of purchase, without giving any reason.

However, by expressly requesting immediate access to premium features at the time of purchase and acknowledging this clause, you agree that the right of withdrawal is waived upon commencement of the service (Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

To exercise your right of withdrawal before using any premium features, contact us at bzr.software.kft@gmail.com. We will process your withdrawal and issue a full refund within 14 days.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period, except where required by applicable law.

If you exercise your right of withdrawal within the 14-day period before using premium features, you are entitled to a full refund.

You retain full ownership of recipes and other content you create, upload, or import ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant BZR Szoftverfejlesztő Kft. a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.

Recipes you contribute to the public library may be viewed and saved by other registered users.

The Service, including its design, source code, trademarks, logos, and content created by BZR Szoftverfejlesztő Kft., is protected by Hungarian and EU intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our express written permission.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or infringes third-party rights
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

BZR Szoftverfejlesztő Kft. is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the Service. We process your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – Regulation 2016/679) and Hungarian data protection law (Act CXII of 2011 on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and on Freedom of Information).

Full details of how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, and how to exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection), are set out in our Privacy Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by Hungarian and EU consumer law, BZR Szoftverfejlesztő Kft. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service or any feature at any time, with reasonable prior notice where practicable.

These disclaimers apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under Hungarian and EU law.

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 15 days before the new Terms take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance.

If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may close your account before the effective date.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or permanently terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these Terms, with immediate effect in cases of serious violation (e.g. illegal activity or security breach), or with 30 days' notice otherwise. Upon termination of a paid subscription for breach, no refund is due for the remaining period.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, including the Hungarian Civil Code (Act V of 2013) and applicable EU regulations. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through the above dispute resolution mechanisms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Hungarian courts.
